The Challenge
Marah Lago and Adrian Nixon had been in the business of jewelry manufacture for decades. One particular stone that fascinated them the most was Larimar but the quality of Larimar products that was available was not that great. The duo moved forward with the idea of combining superior craftsmanship with style to offer the best Larimar products. With this idea they launched a website. Now the challenge was to promote the website in major search engines as an important source of information about Larimar jewelry to wholesalers, supplies, dealers, and customers. Tyrone Taborn is the founder of the Black Family Tech Week program, LaFamilia Technology Awareness Week, and the Native American Technology Awareness Project. Apart from these, he wanted to have a website that would serve as a mouthpiece for the black community. BlackEngineer.com is the brainchild of Taborn, a website designed to serve as news and information provider about black technology, black engineering, black entrepreneurs, black education, black minority, black engineer of the year awards (BEYA) and historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) from black community in US, UK, Caribbean and Africa. Taborn wanted to promote the website over the web and this required it to be optimized to the requirements of major search engines.
